The Reproductive Health Training Unit sets out to improve the knowledge, skills and attitude of front line health workers in Family Planning, Essential Obstetric Care, and Emergency Obstetric Care service provision in Papua New Guinea.
The RHTU is a capacity development program. We endeavour to build capacity of health administrators, clinicians and educators to provide continuing professional development by supporting provinces to plan, fund, implement, evaluate, acquit, report on own their provincial reproductive health training.
The RHTU will seek opportunities to maximise development networks, fostering innovative partnerships aiming to improve health worker competence and confidence and, thereby, the reproductive health outcomes for the men, women and children of PNG.
